The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

CPR training qualifies as an essential service that many need for hiring and retaining employment in essential fields. The American Heart Association, American Red Cross, along with the CDC have given course recommendations to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus within our classes which are being strictly adhered to for your safety.
Duration: 3.5 Hours in classroom (first aid is blended with some online work required prior to class).
NOTE: Due to COVID-19, ALL CLASSES WILL BE TAUGHT USING THE BLENDED FORMAT, until further guidance from the American Heart Association.
Description: This class combines Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid Training into one convenient session. Lay Responder Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED with First Aid classes teaches the skills necessary to recognize and provide immediate care for breathing problems, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive.
Intended Audience: Teachers, daycare providers, coaches, office workers, new parents, or anyone who wants or needs to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and are NOT a healthcare professional.
NOTE- First Aid will require some online coursework prior to class. This will result in a shorter classroom review session and participants will obtain the same certification card.
